This workshop features three traditional Chinese musicians from Ensemble Studio C: Su Yun Han (pipa), Gill Toh (dizi), and Cloud Teo (guzheng). They will present material on traditional Chinese instruments: dizi, pipa, and guzheng. Using both traditional and contemporary repertoire, they will perform Eternity Glimpse into a Secret Garden, a concert featuring works by Asian composers to demonstrate the heritage and innovation of these instruments.

Ensemble Studio C (Malaysia). and conductor of Ensemble Studio C, Chong Kee Yong, along with conductor and percussionist Max Riefer, will share insights into the characteristics and compositions of Asian composers featured in Ensemble Studio C’s performance during SIPFest 2024 on August 7 and 8.
